Upgrade to Restrict Content 3.0
To upgrade from Legacy Restrict Content to Restrict Content 3.0, please go to Restrict > Settings > Use the new version of Restrict Content?.
When upgrading to Restrict Content 3.0, the restrict message will default to the Restrict Content Message found in Restrict > Settings > General.

Downgrade to Legacy Restrict Content
To downgrade from Restrict Content 3.0 to Legacy Restrict Content, please go to Restrict > Settings > Misc > Downgrade to Legacy Restrict Content.
Terminating Subscriptions prior to Downgrading
If you want to downgrade to Legacy Restrict Content and terminate the subscriptions, please follow the steps below:
First, disable the Membership Level by going to Restrict > Membership Level to ensure that no new subscriptions can be purchased.
Then you will want to go to Restrict > Memberships and cancel all the Memberships.
You can do so individually or in bulk.

If you wish to terminate the subscription immediately instead of letting your Members expire at the end of the subscription term, you can do so by editing each Membership individually and clicking the Expire button or you can expire the Memberships in bulk.

Please note, reverting to Legacy Restrict Content from Restrict Content 3.0 will not terminate existing recurring subscriptions in the Stripe payment gateway that your registered members would have initiated when they purchased their membership on your website.
Unless you take steps to terminate the ongoing subscriptions before reverting to Legacy Restrict Content, Stripe will continue to bill your members for their subscriptions.
